rental period
As we understand Maui County Code, A "Short-term rental" means a transient vacation rental [or] use in which overnight accommodations are provided in dwelling units to guests for compensation, for periods of less than thirty days. We do not wish to violate this law so we require that renters agree to occupy the studio for a period of greater than thirty consecutive days.

deposit
We require a deposit of half of the total amount (or about that much).  We will refund this amount if you give us at least one month notice, or we haven't had any other requests for that time period, or if we are able to book it after you have canceled, or if you have a real good excuse.  Basically we have never not returned a deposit. 

payment
Payment of the balance is expected upon arrival.

laundry
There are nice laundry facilities in Paia and Pukalani towns; both are a 3-5 minute drive.  We do not have laundry facilities available for our studio guests.  (Feel free to use the clothes line.)

smoking policy
No smoking is allowed in the studio.  There are great chairs outside and the weather is lovely.

cleaning
The studio will be immaculate when you arrive; we ask that you leave it relatively clean. If you are staying for an extended period of time we will be happy to share cleaning supplies with you.

personality
Basically, we are easy going and we appreciate the same. 

That is pretty much our agreement.
